TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Shopping online is a straightforward and efficient way to give someone you love a beautiful piece of contemporary jewellery – simple! Nevertheless, as with all things in life, there are a few terms and conditions to bear in mind….. we don’t want to bog you down with big words, so we’ll try to keep everything as clear as possible. In the next couple of lines, Stonechat Jewellers Ltd. is referred to as ‘Stonechat Jewellers’. You, the customer, are referred to as ‘you’.
- Photography and product descriptions
Presentation is very important to us. We work hard to clearly communicate and describe the appearance of all of the pieces of jewellery available. Nevertheless, on occasion, there may be slight variances between the product in the photograph and the piece delivered.
- Timeframes
All our pieces of jewellery are subject to availability and, sometimes, delays may occur that are beyond our control. If the piece you want to purchase is not available, we will contact you as soon as possible to give you an estimated delivery date. If you have a specific deadline in mind, please do let us know when ordering – we will do everything we can to help you have the right piece in the right place at the right time. Please see our Shipping page for more information in relation to delivery details and timeframes.
- Prices
All our pieces of jewellery are charged at the price shown on the product page on the date you place the order. All our prices are shown in local currency, according to the location you are shopping from. Inside the European Union (EU), all online prices shown and charged are inclusive of Irish VAT. Outside the EU, all online prices shown and charged are exclusive of VAT, as VAT is not charged on purchases that are being shipped outside the EU. Exclusion from Irish VAT only occurs when pieces are both purchased from and delivered to a country outside of the EU. All online orders are processed at our published prices, as detailed above. We don’t expect there to be any unforeseen price changes. Nevertheless, if this should occur, we will be in touch with you before proceeding any further with your order. If you are purchasing online from outside the euro zone, currency exchange rates and credit/debit card charges may make a difference to the amount charged to your credit/debit card. Stonechat Jewellers is not responsible for currency exchange rates nor credit/debit card charges. Stonechat Jewellers reserves the right to review prices at any given time. Errors and omissions are accepted.
- Payment
Ordering online is safe and secure, and we aim to be as flexible as possible. All online credit card transactions are conducted via Stripe, and we accept payment by Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners and Discovery International. Paypal, which allows you to pay with your credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPal account balance, is also a payment option. Payment must be made in full before the piece of jewellery can be shipped. We do not store any of your financial information. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.
- Returns and Exchanges
On the rare occasion that there is reason for a piece of jewellery to be returned, please remember……
- Only unworn pieces of jewellery can be returned and/or refunded.
- Any piece of jewellery to be returned must be sent back within 30 days of receipt.
- The jewellery must be returned in the original packaging.
- If returning a piece, please get in touch by email at shop@stonechatjewellers.ie to advise us that you are planning to send it back so that we can facilitate you accordingly.
- All return shipping is at your expense. Stonechat Jewellers recommends you return the piece via a secure, trackable service. We do not accept any responsibility for any jewellery that is lost, stolen or damaged in transit to us.
- Please note that original postage costs are not refundable. An exception to this is the unlikely event of a piece being faulty upon receipt.
- Jewellery bought online can be returned and refunded. Jewellery bought in the shop can only be returned and exchanged. Refunds are not available for pieces of jewellery bought in the shop.
- Refunds will only be made to the original card/payment method used at the time of purchase.
- Refunds for online purchases are only available on standard stock pieces. Refunds are not available for bespoke, remodelled, personalised, engraved or customised pieces.
- Gift Returns
If you have received a piece of jewellery as a gift, we will happily offer an exchange for a piece of the same or greater value, once the outstanding balance has been paid. Alternatively, we can issue a gift card for the value of the gift. Please note that the above terms in ‘Returns and Exchanges’ apply to all gift returns and exchanges.
- Faulty Goods
In the improbable event that a piece of jewellery is faulty or damaged on delivery, please contact us as soon as possible at shop@stonechatjewellers.ie so we can arrange a replacement or refund. If the package you receive is damaged or open, please do not accept it, and contact us immediately to arrange a replacement. We will carry the costs of postage to return the jewellery to us, as well as organising a re-delivery. Faulty jewellery can only be returned if it was already damaged when received by you. A piece of jewellery that is returned as faulty will be assessed by us. Any damage that is considered to be a direct result of fair wear or accidental damage will not be accepted as faulty. We offer a full repairs service on pieces of jewellery purchased from Stonechat Jewellers. There is a charge for this service which covers the cost of the repair as well as any related shipping costs. The exact charge is worked out on a case-by-case basis.
- Cancellations
Any amendments or cancellations to an order must be submitted via email at shop@stonechatjewellers.ie before your order has been shipped. We will do our very best to assist you with any changes. Unfortunately, orders cannot be cancelled after they have been shipped. If your order has already been shipped then it is not possible for us to redirect it. As a result, on receipt of the order please refer to our returns instructions in the ‘Returns and Exchanges’ section above. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Stonechat Jewellers is not in any way responsible for any personal injury or damage to property. Stonechat Jewellers cannot be held responsible for any damage or indirect loss caused by an online order arriving late or damaged.
