Remodelling Story of the Week - An Art Deco Ring

Another diamond studs transformation!

What we started with

We previously shared a remodelling story of studs being turned into beautiful drop earrings. This time our customer was looking to remodel her earrings into a ring. Having followed us on social media for a while, and fallen in love with some of our ring designs, our customer got in touch about our remodelling service. She had a pair of beautiful diamond studs that had been sitting in a drawer for almost 20 years, which she had been considering putting into a ring for a long time, but didn’t know where to start. Even though many restrictions were in place at the time, we were able to work out all the design details with her and the rest is history!

What we created

This lady is a big fan of Art Deco design but wasn’t sure if it would be possible to incorporate two diamonds into a ring of this style. This was one of our many lockdown remodelling projects, so we discussed designs via phone and email to work out all the details – the first time we got to meet our customer in person was the day that she came into the shop to collect her ring! We created this ring in collaboration with stonesetter Michael O’Dwyer, and we are all in love with the final piece. Everything really came together through working closely with our customer to create a perfect design for her incredible remodelled ring!
