We specialise in bespoke jewellery design – in fact, we love it! The process of having a bespoke piece made varies from one design to another but in all cases great care goes into making sure you get exactly what you are looking for. Explore a world of possibilities in commissioning a new bespoke piece…
STEP 1 – CONSULTATION
All bespoke orders start with a conversation! You may have an idea in your head, or maybe you need some guidance through options. Either way, we can talk you through the possibilities when we meet with you. We will show you images of previous bespoke projects as well as pieces from our collections so that we have a clear idea of your style and what you would like.
STEP 2 – POSSIBILITIES
During your initial consultation we will discuss the various possibilities, taking your style, ideas and budget into account. We are all trained goldsmiths which means we know what is and isn’t possible from a technical point of view and, if we feel an idea won’t work, we will offer an alternative design.
STEP 3 – SKETCHES & DESIGNS
We may be able to sketch a rough design and show you samples on the spot, or if the piece is more complex, we’ll take note of the details discussed and email you sketches once we have worked out the design. When a piece becomes very complicated, sketches can be followed by a computer aided design which can be rendered to a 3D model. This model can be rotated 360 degrees on our iPad allowing you to see every angle and detail of the piece.
STEP 4 – QUOTE
We will generally ask you if you have a budget or metal in mind in order to be able to work out the appropriate design for you – please don’t be afraid to let us know! We will always confirm the quote with you before starting any work so that there are no surprises, and we keep you informed every step of the way. We take a 20% deposit when an order is confirmed and the balance is payable on collection.
STEP 5 – HANDCRAFTED FOR YOU
Our highly trained goldsmiths make the majority of our bespoke orders in our in-house workshop, but we do also collaborate with other designers if we feel your style is more in line with their designs. We manage the complete project for you – we have become very experienced at this over the years.
STEP 6 – COLLECTION
The lead time for bespoke orders is generally 5-6 weeks and, in all cases, the final piece is unique and extremely beautiful!
