BESPOKE FAQs
What metals are used?
We work with precious metals, including silver, 9ct and 18ct yellow, rose and white gold and platinum.
And what about diamonds and gemstones?
We source all of our diamonds and gemstones from reputable dealers, in various shapes and sizes. If you have your own gemstone that you would like to incorporate into a design, that is no problem at all. We will be able to guide you in relation to stone quality and suitability for the piece that you have in mind. When working with your diamonds and gemstones, additional stones can be sourced and added if necessary. Particular shapes or colours may take a bit of time to source, but it’s definitely worth the wait to get it right.
How much does it cost?
How long is a piece of string?!
It depends on what you would like to have made, if diamonds or gemstones need to be added and if so, how many? The time and skill involved in making your piece of jewellery is also a big factor. Having initially talked ideas through with you, we will give you a ballpark figure to make sure it is within your budget before proceeding with design work. This is why it’s great to have a loose budget in mind – it gives us structure and makes it much easier for us to guide you as to what is and isn’t possible – please don’t be afraid to let us know how much you were hoping to spend.
How long does it take to have a bespoke piece of jewellery made?
This is a tricky question to answer as everyone is different!
Sometimes it’s possible to work out the design and quote for the bespoke piece in the shop, and everything is signed off within 20 minutes. Normally though, working out the design and quote can take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the ironing out of details and any tweaking that needs to be done. We appreciate that designs and ideas may need to be slept on and that you may have some questions. These decisions can be very personal and should definitely not to be rushed - we want to make sure you’re happy with all the details before any work is started!
Once everything is agreed, it normally takes 6 weeks for the piece to be ready for collection, but this can vary. If you have a particular deadline or timeframe, please do let us know – we will do everything we can to have it made on time.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
We take a 20% deposit when an order is confirmed and the balance is payable on collection.
What if I don’t like the end result?
This is unlikely as we work extremely hard to make sure that you like every aspect of the design before starting work. That said, if you didn’t like the final piece we wouldn’t leave you in the lurch! We will do everything possible to change/remake the piece so that you are completely happy.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, we are currently running all of our consultations on an appointment only basis. You can book you appointment at a time that suits you here -
